What is Report Fraud?
Report Fraud is the place to tell the police about cyber crime and fraud. Using our service you can make a report online or by phone on 0300 123 2040.
We also provide the Report Fraud Victim Service which offers dedicated, and specialist help to victims of cyber crime and fraud.
The service is run by the City of London Police. Our Report Fraud Analysis Services team are responsible for the assessment of reports made and to ensure that your fraud reports reach the right place.
The City of London Police is the national policing lead for economic crime and works in partnership with policing and other law enforcement agencies.

Are you at risk of fraud?
According to the 2023 Crime Survey for England and Wales, 1 in 17 adults in England & Wales were victims of fraud. Anybody can be at risk of fraud, no matter your background, age or race. Fraudsters use manipulative tactics to exploit us and lower our defences, so nobody is immune to fraudulent behaviour.

Report fraud & cyber crime to Report Fraud
You can report cyber crime or fraud using our online reporting hub any time of the day or night; the service enables you to both report a fraud and find help and support. We also provide help and advice over the phone through the Report Fraud contact centre. You can talk to our cyber crime and fraud specialists by calling 0300 123 2040.
When you report to us you will receive a police crime reference number. Reports taken are passed to Report Fraud Analysis Services. Report Fraud do not investigate the cases and cannot advise you on the progress of a case.
Report Fraud help victims of fraud
If you have been exposed to fraudulent activity, our Victim Support team are on hand to provide the guidance and support needed to move forward. This is a completely free and confidential service available to everyone in England & Wales who are victims of fraud.
